Hottrax Motorsport 2010 Season Review Hello and thank you for your interest in racing with Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club Ltd. We are a club formed to fulfil the needs of riders who want to race as a team and compete in a race that lasts for more than 10 minutes. Endurance racing is all about bike preparation, stamina and above all team work. No one person in a team is more important than the other from the lap record breaking rider to the timkeepers. Your team as a whole will compete in the race. We also run a series of sprint races called the MotoGrande and the new for 2010 Michelin Power Cup and these are long distance solo sprint races for 600cc and 1000cc motorcycles.Our web site at www.hottrax-motorsport.co.uk contains all of the information that you may need to go racing or from the club membership forms to the technical regulations and of course the entry forms. Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club Overview Four different championships are being run, The Junior TAG Endurance Championship, UK National Endurance Championship, the MotoGrande Championship and the Michelin Power Cup Championship. The Junior TAG and UK National Endurance Championship are 3 hour races. MotoGrande and Michelin Power Cup are long distance sprint races JUNIOR TAG ENDURANCE The Junior class is designed to attract all types of riders but mostly novice racers. It is a great entry into the world of Endurance Racing and we hope that you will enjoy it so much that you will wish to progress to the National event in the future. UK NATIONAL ENDURANCE The same as the Junior but for faster teams and riders. Either 1 bike and 2/ 3 riders or 2 bikes and 2 riders can enter. Both Endurance Championships will be started in a Le-Mans style with the bikes lined up at the side of the track being held by a rider while the rider starting runs across the track to their machine, a spectacular start to any event. The mostly 2 day events will mean that you will get great value for money, the Junior Championship is run over the first day and the National Championships run on the second day. Both Championships will get timed practice and a race. Your team could get up to 3.5 hours of riding time over the event. Where else can you get this sort of value for money at some of the best race circuits in the country. MOTOGRANDE SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP Sprint races for new racer. 3 races per weekend with practice and qualifying Trophies to top 3 in both the 600cc and 1000cc classes. MICHELIN POWER CUP Sprint races for new and experienced racers. 3 races per weekend with practice and qualifying. Riders must register for the Championship and use Michelin Tyres Circuits and Events We have secured some great circuits, our presence in the market place running track days and training events means we spend a lot of money with the circuits and we hope to go from strength to strength over the next 5 years at least. Club Membership To race you must join our club, download the membership form and complete it. If you would like to send your ACU licence application form to us for signing we are happy to do so. Just remember to enclose the completed form, your payment, a photograph and a stamped, self addressed envelope. To join the club costs £30 for a rider and an optional £75 for team registration. Team registration is a guarantee of an entry and a consistent race number as long as you enter on time. If you just intend to do one or two rounds then you don't need to register, just get your entries in on time and you may get a place. Don't forget that registered teams get priority entries followed by 'Wild Cards'. All membership and registration fees are non refundable under any circumstances. Junior TAG and National Endurance Championship Classes OPEN 1000cc - OPEN 600cc Almost any track bike is suitable for this Championship as long as it conformes to our technical guidelines. Designed as more of a relay race you can get together with your friends to race, the transponder is swapped to the second bike at the end of your stint. The Junior is for new racers and teams and the National is for the experienced and faster riders. The National may use 1 bike and up to 3 riders racing against the TAG teams directly. Class Points per Team - 1st 25 down to 15th place Trophy to top three in each class Final awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Dinner.
