Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire Located in the Lincolnshire Wolds and said to be a mini Nurburgring, this must be one of the UK's most picturesque and spectacular circuit and also one of Hottrax customers most favourite circuits! Climbing and descending through twisty woodland sections, with long fast curves on the downward section, most of the circuit is narrow requiring perfect lines from the rider. Motorcycle racing at Cadwell first started in 1934 on a short 0.7 mile circuit, this was extended to 1.3 miles in 1953 with the long 'grand prix' circuit measuring 2.17 miles and opening in 1962. If you are spectating, there are lots of superb viewing points at close quarters, view Coppice from the banking above Mansfield, a great place to view Charlies is from the banking on the outside, Gooseneck has a windy spectator area but loved by both riders and spectators the Mountain is excellent. How to Get There Cadwell is on the A153 between Louth and Horncastle. From the south, leave the A1 at Grantham, pick up the A153 all the way to the track. From the north follow the signs from the M180 to Humberside Airport. Follow the A18 then the A16 to Louth. The circuit is approximately 7 miles south on the A153. |
